The Bauer Vapor HYPERLITE2 helmet has been completely redesigned. In connects with its predecessor, the Hyperlite, only the outer shape - all other components have been completely redesigned or revised.

One innovation that takes the helmet to a new level is the use of GX-CELL PODS.
These three-dimensionally shaped pads have been strategically placed exactly where impacts to the helmet are most likely to occur during a game. The PODS can dissipate impact energy, even from rotational impacts, helping to soften even the hardest hits on the ice.

The GX-CELL PODS are 3D-printed and allow for high airflow through the PODS, which greatly enhances cooling of the head and thus also shortens the player's recovery time.

While the GX-CELL PODS provide excellent protection and ventilation, the FREEFORM SYSTEM, paired with the OCCIPITAL LOCK, provides a secure fit and the right fit for almost any head size and is the extension and improvement of the FREEFORM ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM, as known from helmets of the Re-Akt 85 or Re-Akt 150 series.
