The Bauer Profile 940 mask replaces the NME IX mask and features a number of new features that have been improved in response to requests from goalkeepers.

To provide goalkeepers in the lower leagues with a composite shell, Bauer has developed the Fiber Comp, a blend of fibreglass and composite.

Bauer has also developed new sizes for the 940 so that they fit the goalkeepers perfectly.
The expansion of the stretch spandex chin shell also contributes to this across the board.
A new cage has been developed for CCE.
